It really is cosy @ the Cumberland!! my room had everything you need in it the bed was clean and comfortable i slept like a baby both nights I was there
it is very peaceful street Conal was excellent host polite and helpful with a very relaxed feel about the place and one of the best wee pubs I’ve ever frequented just down the road the people around this area there are the very best of people… I would definitely stay here again and not to mention value for money cost at the Cumberland exceeded my expectations thanks again 🇬🇧

Host is very friendly, messaged me prior to my arrival to find out about the arrival time so she could turn on the heating in the cabin. Lot of amenities for the size. Didn't expect to find a fridge or a kettle in that small cabin. Snacks, fruits and drinks were provided. Not too far from the city with many travel options.

Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Lovely hosts, and splendid choice of food at breakfast from their kitchen garden.
For evening meal they recommended the Poachers Pocket nearby which was very good indeed.
Everything ! Location is nice and quiet, rooms are amazing, Terry & Avril are great hosts, nothing to much and easy going, making it a very relaxed place. Breakfast was delish, try the rhubarb, amazing!
Such a lovely host, fabulous room and en-suite, so beautiful and cosy and warming heat on. We ate at a local bistro pub, Michelin starred, recommended by host,(amongst others!) absolutely amazing food. Breakfast next day was excellent, home grown rhubarb, yoghurt granola, followed by lovely cooked breakfast...Great location, we went to Castle Espie (next door almost) and on to Island Hill for a wee dander when tide out, then Killynether Wood and Scrabo Tower to explore further. Highly, highly recommend this lovely venue and lovely hosts.
