Sharing the kitchen enabled me to spend a very pleasant evening as we had many experiences in common.
The room, on the top floor of a modern town house was well appointed and the ensuite was scrupulously clean and functional.
I couldn't have expected more from the room in a four-star hotel.

The single room was really small but so am I. Therefore I could manage but someone bigger might have trouble. It was also really hot during the heat wave. Even so I enjoyed the location that was close enough to the center that I could walk there taking a scenic route along a small river. And there was parking provided.

The pub was great, a real locals pub with a warm welcome to us country bumpkins from Dartmoor.
The staff were all really friendly and welcoming and the room was cosy, clean and, although it was above the main road, the triple glazed windows were great at keeping the noise out.
The beds were very comfy, we slept well.
Meeting friends in Canterbury for the evening and decided to book a single bedroom at Harriet House after reading reviews and was not dissapointed. Heidi and Paul were great hosts. Very well presented house, great location with secure off street parking. Very clean and well equipped room. Fantastic breakfast. Exceptional value overall. Harriot House has set a high standard for guest houses. Well done Heidi and Paul.
Gorgeous location. Absolutely beautiful quintessential English countryside. Stuart is a lovely host who is very helpful and he makes a great breakfast. I loved meeting the site’s two resident pigs as well 😬
