Nothing. The hotel is closed and we were moved to another hotel, the Allandale House on the day of arrival although Hunters had been closed for two weeks and we had not been informed.
Room was far smaller than the suite we had booked with no storage. It was unclean and not cleaned for the entire stay. Owner apologized but it is unacceptable to not inform guests about the closure until they arrive.

The host Emily was amazing, she went above and beyond. We went for a few days after getting married. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast all locally sourced or home made by the host herself.

The property was exceptionally clean, and well stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of parking on site. Brilliant location with great views.

It was so great to hear the waves lapping on the shoreline. We had a cute little room, the breakfast was very good and everyone was very nice.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Good breakfast, quiet location, good choice of food as catered for vegan and vegetarian, enjoyed having dinner outside in the sunny outdoor area, good atmosphere with locals visiting the bar and quiz nights etc.
The hotel with its bar and restaurant are located in an awesome garden and I would definitely recommend sitting in the old greenhouse for dinner. The bar is equally pretty and offers a large range of drinks at reasonable prices. The Sunday night I spend there, they also head live traditional music played by locals and also some visitors. After closing, the whole place was very quiet and I had a great night. Breakfast is a real highlight here, with freshly prepared traditional Scottish options and great coffee.
