I had everything I needed and more. I didn’t need the ventilator as I visited in Oktober or the fridge. A warm cup of tea or coffee in the morning and off I was. The whole property is lovely decorated and with an eye to detail. I had my own floor and the owner of the house always helpful and very friendly.

This is really exceptional. It is a decorated and furnished to a high standard, was comfortable and warm. There were so many lovely extra touches, toiletries in the bathroom, little treats to welcome you as well as an excellent continental breakfast. It’s probably the best we have ever stayed in for all those extra touches. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Everything from a very friendly welcome from all staff, cleanliness of the lodge, as I travel from Bournemouth and don’t no many people here even the locals are friendly and welcoming which is lovely as you don’t get that in many places.
A very well presented property, everything u need and more for your stay.
A very good host, Tracey communicated from time of booking, even messaged us before our check in time to say the cottage was ready, Tracey also came to welcome us later on in the evening which was lovely.
Good location, even her dog greeted us in the morning before we were leaving.
Will definitely be booking again..
Super friendly, shared the same vibes, good conversations with the owner and locals. I would go again. Fresh local food, vegetarian options as well, nice variety of beers.
Room is good size. Most rooms have been refurbished or in the process, so the standard is very good. The staff make the place. Quite young, but service in the bar and restaurant is always good. For regular stayers, the locals are friendly and the food, although not high restaurant standard, is very good and good value for money. Location is perfect for Black and surrounding towns like Oakdale.
