The location was perfect for our trip to the area as it was easily accessible from the major routes, but in such a quiet, secluded location. The property is beautifully finished and our hosts were so friendly and amenable. A comfortable room overlooking a private, mature garden allowed us to relax and unwind.

Host was super nice and offered us a great room in her home. We paid extra for the continental breakfast and it was lovely to sit with owner and discuss UK/USA stuff. Room was comfortable and shared bathroom worked out well for us. Our visit was too brief. Would definitely look up this place for a next visit. Parked our car across the street. We used the Park and Ride nearby to save money to see the downtown campus. Great pubs a short drive or 20 minutes walk from her place.

It was wonderfully quiet and comfy. The bathroom was tiny. I am a small person and yet I felt it was too small.

The building is very English outside and inside. It was a perfect opportunity to have a feel of an old English house, it has a character an a feeling of traditional home stay. Inside the property seems like a family museum with loads of objects on display. The house has National Trust vibes.
The staff were very polite, and chatty. Not like some places me and my wife have been to, where the locals were more important than us and just because you stay there for one night you won’t get the service like the locals! But the Plough the staff were nice and friendly and we will definitely be back again 👍👍👍
