Excellent stay, lovely room, dog friendly, excellent location as we wanted to "walk the byes", a brilliant river walk right into the heart of Sidmouth town and beach area. Lovely hosts, very comfortable room and excellent breakfast.

The B and B was clean and easy to find with parking. You had a communal kitchen full of breakfast items (cereal, eggs, bread, milk, yoghurt etc). I didn't meet the host but they communicate via WhatsApp but presumably live on site (still very friendly though). Plus the location is perfect, barely a 5 minute walk to the seafront and shops and there's some lovely eatery down the road in an old mill which did an awesome breakfast.

Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
