Cairngorm Guest House, hotel in Aviemore

Situated in the tourist resort of Aviemore, the Cairngorm Guest House offers free Wi-Fi and free parking. Within the Cairngorms National Park, it is just 10 minutes’ walk from Aviemore Railway...

A very pleasant and informative welcome, room was small but cozy, and very warm, at times a bit too warm, but there was snow up on the hills, having a drying room was a godsend due to the torrential rain when we arrived, and with the room being so small not having room taken up with wet coats helped. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of dishes and was nice an hot which made a change from other hotels. Location was perfect as was within easy walking of all facilities and Aviemore was a great place to stay anyway.

Clune House B&B, hotel in Aviemore

Located in Newtonmore and only 500 metres from Newtonmore Golf Club, Clune House B&B provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Super place! Very clean and comfortable room, with first rate facilities: coffee machine, wide selection of tea and coffee and even some juices and small snacks. I am vegan and my friend omnivorous and we both loved the breakfast! Amazing buffet and choice of delicious hot options, which set us up for the whole day. (Actually we had had full Scottish breakfast at a fancy place in Edinburgh on our way through, and the one at Clune House was much better!) I also really appreciated the consideration for my vegan diet, such as providing a vegan snack in the room tray and making sure I had oat milk as well as having a different hot vegan option on the two days. We visited at the 'off' season apparently, so it was pretty quiet in the very small town. Most cafes seemed to be closed, probably because of the season, but there was a restaurant open down the road and a co-op just next door so we had places to eat evening meals. We were happy that the room was also very quiet - we wondered if it might be noisy due to facing onto the 'main' road but we weren't disturbed at all. The host was lovely, super helpful and kindly accommodating our every request. He also suggested ideas for walks and lent us a map, which was helpful as our phone map didn't really cover any detail. Enjoyed the evening chats by the log fire in the sitting room too! We had planned to walk the wildcat trail, but realised the upper (and drier) part was pretty short, so we went on over the moorland and did a bigger loop - by the recommendation of a friendly passing local. Great idea - we saw grouse, deer and red kites. Beautiful! The place is a good starting spot for hiking, especially if coming by train as we did, as it's a short walk both to the train station and to the tracks to the moor. Overall we loved it!

Ardenbeg, hotel in Aviemore

Offering a garden and garden view, Ardenbeg is located in Grantown on Spey, 600 metres from Grantown Museum and 8.4 km from Abernethy Golf Club.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean, the facilities in the room were excellent. We particularly liked the fact there was a fridge. The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly before arriving through the booking.com messaging service. We plan to return!

Ardlogie Guest House, hotel in Aviemore

It was one of the best stays I ever had. The couple is super friendly, the accommodation is greatly decorated and the rooms are really comfy. They also accommodated us the best way possible when we asked for an early breakfast. I felt very welcome. I never write a review but this time I felt I had too.

Siskin Guest Suite, hotel in Aviemore

It was the cosiest, most comfortable little home away from home. It had everything I needed. Nature right outside, the quiet of a wee hideaway & access to all the activities Aviemore can offer. The suite has been finished to the highest standards and the hosts are great too. Perfect, peaceful getaway.
