There is a family that rents a room. I travel all over the world. This is the first time I did not feel comfortable Not having a Private stay, I asked if I could cancel, and they said Not possible. So it left things even more uncomfortable.
When checking in I was told to hold my voice down and not to make noise. I did not feel comfortable using their bathroom where their door opens to their main living room where their child, would have to smell toilet orders.ETC.
I did not use their shower nor did I ask for breakfast. I don't mind staying with a family. not going to pay to be a house guest/friend.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Everything was perfect! The room is comfortable and it has access to a private terrace. Also it’s super cool to have access to a small fridge, coffee machine and microwave which lets you eat at the property. Fernande is a lovely host and super accommodating. Thank you for a great stay!
