Very peaceful and homey. The house currently hosts 3 private rooms with shared bathroom, clean and comfortable. Electricity, fan, and wifi, except when it rains very hard and solar panels are not working. Two beaches accessible from there and free snorkeling sets to use. Although the beaches may not be as beautiful as neighbouring island like Nanuya Lailai, the peace and homeyness made me go back to stay extra nights (which led to a problem that I will write in next section).

This new place currently has one room only, so too bad I could only stay one night as it was so booked up. But that was also the plus side, very peaceful. The beach is very very beautiful and this place has plenty of shade allowing you to hangout and enjoy the beauty without suffering in the sun. The room and shared bathroom is very nice and clean. A big plus is the 24/7 electricity that other homestays don’t yet have. The host is a great cook, also making organic fruits ice cream that I had to go back everyday even when I stayed another place :) Thank you

Run by a lovely family, this place is right on the beach on the east side of the island. The famous Blue Lagoon beach is on the west side, accessible by 30 mins walk. They have 2 private rooms with bathroom by the sea which are the BEST; 1 family bungalow with bathroom but not as breezy as the seaside rooms; 1 private room with shared bathroom (share with dorm); and 10 dorm beds in one big room. I initially stayed in the dorm which was ok but the very rundown bathroom put me off big time. So, I moved to the seaside private room where I had such a great stay…room right on the beach with good breeze and sunrise view from the bed! If your budget allows, I would really recommend the seaside room.
They also organize activities/day trips eg. Cave, snorkeling, fishing, etc. (extra charged) and have kayak/paddle board for free. Fellow travelers that I met there are great.
This homestay features a garden as well as a terrace. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, free shuttle service, and luggage storage for guests.

Staff were so amazing and welcoming! The beach and view is beautiful, snorkeling was unreal !
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
As a home stay it was the absolute best. I stayed for a month. Private sheltered beach, great reef, great food, great hammock, free internet, beautiful gardens and the staff were amazing! Love you Kuki, Milli, Male, Captain Simi and Simba (the dog).
It is really comfortable. You have electricity and water the whole time. We had our own big room. While staying there, there was another family as well. They offered us a lot of activities and most of them were for free or for little money. You can only pay cash. ( spear fishing, going to the cave, snorkelling, hiking, going to church, kava ceremony)
The Homestay has its own beach, that’s really nice!
