Flor was very sweet and tried hard to communicate despite the language barrier. The room was clean, comfortable and the neighborhood quiet at night. Great wifi. It is at the top of a hill but not too bad of a walk to eateries or markets. In any case it's just $2 taxi to the pier and beach

Very cute spot with everything you need. I was met at the boat dock so that I could find my way. Not far from the main town , but far enough for it to be peaceful .

Honestly ran by the loveliest of people. Alfredo showed me parts of his fruit farm and let me know I could help myself to as much as I please. It’s only 3 dollars in a taxi to the town at any time, but Alfredo will take you for just 2 dollars if he is available.

Romina met us when we got off the ferry and guided us the short walk to the guest house. She had fantastic recommendations. The guest house is adorable and we felt right at home. There was filtered water and a clothes washer available. It is right across the street from the beach full of sea lions! We felt very safe and highly recommend Mare Mío!
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
The house itself has an amazing view over the town out to the coast, it’s really beautiful. Flor and her family and some of the nicest people I’ve ever stayed with. They’re incredibly welcoming and lovely, it was a perfect homestay. There was free fruit and water in the room, and it was very clean.
We had a great time in San Cristobal. Carlos is a great host and helps with everything. The rooms are clean and the terrace is great. Free drinking water!
