The people running this lodge are extremely friendly and helpful. They were willing to put up with my rudimentary Spanish, but actually, the owner speaks fluent English. The older lady who ran the kitchen while we were there, is adorable. The decoration of the main parts of the lodge is beautiful. Our room had a little outside sitting area overlooking Otavalo.
When we returned in the evening, the fireplace was lit, and we spent a bit of time there, enjoying the ambiance of the common room.

Best hostel if you want to climb Imbabura with personally the best owner I have met in Ecuador, Emerson. He is really interested to get to know you and help you with anything you need, also works as a guide for the Imbabura at a reasonable price. We even did a calesthenics workout together and his two dogs are super friendly and cute, can really recommend 10/10. Also a great kitchen and a beautiful view in the outside area :)
