Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Luca is a great host, and the vounteers were also friendly and helpful. I loved the building (inside and outside area), beautiful and cosy. The location is perfect, a short walk from the beach. It is only one minute from the main street, where you can take a guagua to Samaná or where it drops you off. A minimarket and a fruit shop are also right on the corner of the main street. You find good restaurants nearby.
Andrea is a great host, he built amazing property in the middle of nowhere. Still, you can reach famous Playa Rincon and El Limon waterfall in no time. We really enyojed time spent in 21 palms, outstanding property and the owner. BTW they gave us upgrade without charge and the local beach is one of the best in Dominican Republic.
The garden is beautiful, it's nice that the hotel is in a quiet area, but close to the main street and the beach (10 minutes by foot).
Emiliano was a great host, he gave us some good tips and he helped us when we realized we didn't have the right phone chargers with us.
Volker is such a great host, very attentive and does his best to give you all the info you may need in advance. Although simple, the flat was very clean and comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed.
The swimming pool was also fantastic, definitely one of the highlights.
Volker is very knowledgeable of the area around so he gave us tips for tours and even joined us on our trip to El Fronton.
The internet, when not getting to the cap limit worked fine.
Great hosts Esther and Pierre! Probably one of the best B&B I have ever stayed in the so many countries I have travelled.. Friendly people, great breakfast, very beautiful and comfortable rooms, very well maintained property Overall no doubt 10 out of 10. Congratulations!
The location was good. Close to mini markets and my fav restaurant Rosy's, ATM, bus pick up to Santo Domingo and close to a small local bar that locals hanged out at. The pool was cool and refreshing. The free water was nice.
took premium room - well worth it- amazing bfast (huge portions, no need for lunch) served on my own terrasse with sea view and wild horses. lovely host. hike to froton, boca del diablo. even to the village for dinner! perfect location. quiet and chilled. i recommend
Great place with the unique spirit. There are several bungalows in a green garden. They're well separated from each-other and you can rest in loneliness. We rented the biggest house for three people including a kid, bit it can accommodate more people. The facilities are quite basic, but clean and fine for the price. There's a kitchen with all the necessary stuff but I'd recommend breakfasts that are served bu the great host and i guess the owner of the place - Ronald.
