Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Mark is a great host. He was very helpful. He provided a lot of suggestion, helped me to find my next stay etc. His place has all you need. It is clean, steps from the beach, quiet ..etc. I definitely recommend staying at his place.
The place is quite basic at the moment but new, very responsive management are trying to spruce it up. The entire town is made up of one street only so traffic noise can’t be avoided. There's a little cafe right below it, with delicious coffee and a lovely hostess.
Loved the neighbourhood where the apartment was lovely to see how and where the locals live. Close to the centre but far enough to hear all the noise from there.
We had an extraordinarily nice stay. Perfect location, lovely hosts and well tended place. There’s probably no better place to stay when wanting to surf and relax in Encuentro :)
