This is a lovely, peaceful property in the heart of old Pirna. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast included. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by.
Bus and train stations 15 minutes walk away, which make access to Saxony Switzerland and Dresden so easy. Both of them are about 20 minutes by train.
Old Pirna is lovely and Pension Donatus was the perfect choice for sightseeing in the area.
By the way, the car park at the Pension (£10 a night) is so cool. You drive the car into the garage, take all your luggage out, and it disappears to a car park underground 😄

The whole complex is perfectly designed and definitely in a very good style. The apartment was very comfortable with all the equipment needed (will not get into details but it was really like entering own house). The house and garden are gorgeous, kitchen very well equipped. Sun flooded the apartment in the afternoon/evening.
We went with dogs, there is a wide area with grass and a path right beside the lake Elbe, which is super quiet and you can go for a walk/run for several kilometres.
The property is spacious and in a quiet location yet the drive with the car to Dresden is swift. Close to a super market and farm shop, local German cuisine or a kebab take away are close by.
