Location was great for getting to Kehlsteinhaus,(Eagles Nest). The breakfast was very good and the beds were firm :). Our room was very clean. Was really great having a balcony in the evening and morning.

Alpengasthof Götschenalm is a family-run outfit located on the outskirts of Bischofswiesen. It's close to all the sites: Berchtesgaden, Königssee Lake, and the salt works in Bad Reichenhall. There are also easy and more difficult trails for hikers in the area. The Gasthof itself is comfortable, clean, provides a good breakfast spread, and offers decent hot meals in the evening (a la carte). The lower floor is fully wheelchair accessible. Parking is free. It's a typical Alpine Gasthof, especially good for families with children. We visited in the summer. In the skiing season, the lift up the slopes is right next door.

What an incredible place to relax. The view is amazing. Sitting on the terrace for breakfast was so peaceful. I sat in the lounge at night, enjoyed reading and having a glass of wine. I traveled alone but this place is VERY family friendly.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Nice little studio that is clean and just on the edge of the village. Great for walking and cycling and exploring the region. Chris is was a great host and super responsive. Check in and check out was easy.

Our room was large, comfortable and had a lovely view of the surrounding gardens and the Predigtstuhl. The rooms are well insulated and you don't hear your neighbours or people walking in the hallways; so you can have a peaceful night's rest.
If we visit Bad Reichenhall again, we will definitely consider staying at Hotel Bergfried & Schönblick again. The Fuchs family are lovely hosts and are able to assist in English.

Rooms were clean and were occupied with all the required facilities.
We booked one of the flats with a view to the mountains and it was absolutely beautiful. The flat is spacious, full of light and very warm, just perfect. we travelled with a toddler and we had a cot prepared in the room.

there is also a great beer garden 2 minutes away which seemed to be frequented by locals with good food and beer
Great host! We really enjoyed evening discussion with Ivan. Breakfest was delicious and we hope to come back when we have business in the area, or just to spend days off with the family.
