Location was good but hotel had some issues. Plants were dying on the patio. Food was wonderful but service incredibly slow. The two of us were the only people eating in a bar of 6 people.
Loud music play played from one of the rooms until 600 am and owner ignored our messages. Bed was uncomfortable and sheets didn’t fit so kept coming apart. We left two nights early and asked for and received a one night refund.

I loved my stay at this hostel and will be back. Ana was extremely accommodating and a lovely host. The hostel has a great space to work, a great space to do yoga, a well equipped kitchen and is near to a big supermarket and bus links. I would recommend this hostel for your stay in San Jose.
For the price i paid i have to give 10 points. It has everything you need and gets cleaned every day. Family that runs the business is also living there so it felt more like a homestay than a hostel. Not many travellers while i was there, which i liked. Wifi worked perfectly. Neighborhood is full of fancy restaurants and for those on a budget there is a walmart in 20 min walking distance.
It was a good stopover spot outside of San Jose. Very clean and had friendly staff. It was our first experience with locals in CR. We did not use it as a base to explore the surrounding area so are not aware of nearby attractions.
The staff was very friendly, polite, and helpful. We felt very welcomed, and they were genuinely great hosts. Answered every question, including the ones not related to the facilities (e.g., shops, city access, etc)
Breakfast was great. Transfer from the airport worked seamlessly.

Great hostel good location mall , hooters and strip club not too far away for adult entertainment also a nice Church and other places to go to I would recommend staying here clean , quiet , good location and comfortable also good pancakes for breakfast
The apartment overall was very clean and comfortable. Ernesto was a great host and was super responsive to texts and gave great suggestions for local restaurants. The condo complex was also great. It was so nice to have a pool to relax in. There is also a gym and basketball court available but we didn’t use them. We really liked the apartment and area as a whole. The value for the money is great if you are a solo traveler or a couple on a budget.
