This is a family run place, where they take the time to have a chat with the guests and you feel the passion of being hosts and making their guests having a good time. If you look for a place in the nature and a bit of the mainstream tourist spots to discover Monteverde mountains, this will be a great place. If you have children they will love the animals they hold on the property. The little house I stayed was clean and the breakfast was great. If I come back to Costa Rica, I will visit again and stay for a couple of days.

The hostel is very central in Paquera.
It has all the facilities needed for a short stay and it was very clean.
The best thing was the service!! Roman is amazing, extremely kind and helpful!! He helped me booking a taxi from Paquera Port to the hotel! I arrived late and he waited kindly and checked that I was fine during my travel. I felt very well taken care of!

Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
The location is great if you want to take the ferry boat. Although Google maps showed us a lication far up the street the locals could tell us where it was and we found it imediatly. The receptionist was very kind and we could park the car inside. The beds are very comfortable.
Our hosts were very kind and welcoming. We have stayed in a number of different places in Costa Rica, but this proved to be one of the most memorable. We enjoyed walking round the streets nearby in the evening seeing the locals sitting outside their casitas, kids playing football barefoot and old men at games of dominoes, and feeling that we were seeing something of local life.
German was a great host. He is very meticulous about his property, everything is very clean and well taken care of. He let us park in his gated parking spot. We were able to use his laundry machine for free! The rooms were spacious with your own table, set of dishes, sink and AC. We really enjoyed our stay.
Good host he made it easy to check in even though he was not there. I only stayed a night to chatch an early bus in the morning and for that it was perfect.
