Casa Vélez is an amazing oasis of trees and bamboo with a beautifulwrap around porch. The house has been built with great attention to detail and the facilities are very elegant. Clemencia is a dear lady who will treat you like family and offer great suggestions for things to do in the area. She’ll also make you a delicious breakfast. Perfect location! Just a block away from the best sunset I’ve seen in Colombia, there’s a really nice park to walk all along the edge of town and a little further up the hill there are some nice restaurants and cafes. A short walk into downtown too, ideal location for getting to know the center of Manizales and close enough to the cable cars.
Very cute family run business with clean, comfortable rooms and a really nice common area and balcony. Kitchen had everything I needed. I was one of the only guests during my stay which is a shame because for the price I think this was my favorite place to stay in all of Colombia so far.
