The host, Val, was very nice and met us at the door upon arrival to introduce herself and give us a tour. The breakfast was good w/eggs in the fridge, fresh French and rye bread, cereal, etc. There were baskets in the fridge for each room too. A little on the small side, but we made it work. The cleanliness was great, too. Bathrooms cleaned each day.

I really enjoy my stay at Winnipeg Homestay. I stayed there for 2 weeks and everything was great. Starting from the first day the check-in simple and fast. My room was clean and bright. Location of the Winnipeg Homestay is convenient. I was using bus everyday and it was easy to get to city centre or any other place. The greatest advantage of staying at Winnipeg Homestay is an enjoya atmosphere in the house, especially the owner Elinna is a very friendly and warm person. I can truly recommend this place to everyone :D
Both the property owner and the property manager on site went above and beyond to ensure that my stay would be more comfortable what I initially expected.
Despite difficulties with processing of payment for the booking,the property owner was very flexible and offered a range of options to make sure that I would be able to pay for my booking.My checkout time was very uncertain and I was given multiple chances to stay as long as I wanted.If you are coming to Winnipeg and also looking for homestay,this is your place to go.
This basement suite is absolutely " Sweet " ! so well appointed wit an amazing big bedroom with a door to separate a nice living room . A nice little kitchenette area with a ample fridge along with water machine plates , glasses , kettle and microwave. The bathroom is 4 Stars !
Everything is horrible about the place. The picture does not show the true reflection of the room. The pipes for flushing from the upper rooms passed through the room. The bath is just terrible. The place looked like a room in a war torned country. The heater is not properly placed, I don't wish my enemy stay in the room. A room in the correctional centre is far better than this place. I don't know how booking.com accepted this for someone to live . 142 maryland homestay is nothing to write home about.
The basement suite is nicely decorated. I stayed there before and my only real concern at the time was the bathroom sink tap was not installed correctly. I was pleased that has been fixed , Thank you !
