Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Alfonso is such a great host! He has a way of making people feel comfortable, feel at home. We really enjoyed getting to know him. Plus, he's a fantastic cook! His house is lovely and is located in a quiet area, just a stone's throw from Parlee beach.
The bedroom and bathroom were attached. Not all private homes have this. There was a coffee machine in the room, air conditioning, and it was in a quiet location. The breakfast room and the breakfast was excellent. There was a trail about 50 metres behind the property that went to the wharf and beach park.
