The room was very comfortable, included extras like microwave, fridge, kettle, coffee maker, bowls and cutlery. The view was trees and lawn, like in the country. Great quality and value.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
The place was very clean. Super hot water and good pressure. The lady who greeted us was very pleasant and professional. This is a basement suite in their home so bare that in mind. You have to come through their front door and down stairs to get in.
This is a lovely little basement suite that was very comfortable. We were really pleased with most everything. We were able to do laundry, shower and sleep comfortably. Great find. Less than 30 minutes to the scotiabank center.
The location and historical cachet of the property are a big draw. Apparently, the on-site restaurant is also a hit (even with locals), although I didn't try it as the items on the menu looked a bit expensive and not terribly adventurous. There was a young lady working the reception desk during the day who was also very helpful answering questions about things to do and other places to eat in the area.
It is a beautiful suite! Attention paid to detail! A wonderful home stay. I needed a van opener and it was provided! 😁 Lovely pictures on the walls - heat bed and soft pillows. Thick towels and a great shower.
Nice and cleaned. Bed comfy, friendly staff. Got there around 9:00am obviously it's too early to check in. They store our luggage while we were roaming around the city. Good location as well, about 10 minutes walk to the Harbour front, also close to Citadel hill. You can pretty much walk to all interesting places to see in city center of Halifax. Also, locals are veey friendly people indeed. Would definitely go back there again and stay in the same place.
