The room was very spacious, nice big bed, TV with netflix, nice big window, a small fridge and an ensuite bathroom.

Part 1: I chose this location because it seemed like a good place to stay. I specifically chose the option with the private bathroom and parking since we needed it badly for this weekend. When I booked the room there were two payment options: directly on Booking.com or in person. As soon as I booked the room, the only option available was to pay in person. When we arrived, the owner showed us what was supposed to be our room. There was no private bathroom. I explained to him that I had chosen this option and he told me that there were none in the establishment. To compensate, he changed our place to be in the basement and promised me that there would not be other guests in the basement for the weekend. We quickly looked at the room since we had to go elsewhere and everything seemed fine. When paying, he insisted a lot that we pay cash. We did an etransfer and it was a little more expensive than the price I was supposed to pay, but he told me that it was for the cleaning fees. Back in the room a few hours later, the bathroom had not been cleaned. The toilet bowl was full of pubic hair and urine. The urine had even run all the way down the bowl. There was not much toilet paper left and the hand soap was empty and covered in black hairs like someone had just shaved. There was no one in the place that night and no cleaning had been done. I had to wash it myself, it was disgusting. The shower also had questionable stains inside and no shampoo, soap, or small towel to wash with. In the room there was dust everywhere and dead bugs on the window sill. This is the type of cleaning that is supposed to be done before the guests arrive. To put it into perspective, I figured he would probably come by to clean the next day. The next day I went to my event. Unfortunately it was impossible to contact anyone all weekend because of the interference.
