The pousada is closer to hill and the forest which gives it a vibe of tropical jungle which is exotic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were surprised with the romantic setup in the room. We loved the tea time in the afternoon (free). Lovely pousada !

Very close to the Ferry drop off and convenient to book further boat tours. Very inexpensive . More than adequate for the price. Clean sheets and small patio for drying clothes. Air-conditioning. There was a full kitchen which we did not use, other than the fridge.. decent breakfast

This is a lovely hostel! It’s super clean, beds are insanely comfortable, all the people who work there are very friendly and all the doggies and cats are just a cherry on top! The kitchen is super well equipped. It’s also very, very close from the ferry dock. Highly recommended!
I really really recommend staying at hostel papagaio. It immediately felt like home, it is a very intimate hostel and the owners are just great hosts. It’s super clean and the common area feels like a living room, the kitchen is perfectly equipped and there is free coffee and if you are lucky snacks. I wouldn’t have left if I didn’t have to! Esmeralda is a lovely host, she prepares a very good and fresh breakfast every day, and makes the most to make you feel comfortable.
Carlos was simply amazing: he was clear in explanation ,and helped us a lot to plan tours , gave us good suggestion where to go and what to do. Besides he also speaks English (not that common in Brazil) and Spanish as well as Portuguese.

Great hosts! Very friendly and attentive. They've let us check in early and despite we didn't get the best weather they always made sure we had all we needed, even bringing us coffee and biscuits when it was pouring down and offered some caipirinhas :) great location, close to everything. The kitchen has all you need to make your own food. Wifi working well. Definitely recommend!
We had a nice stay at Aratinga Inn, Rennie was a great host, very helpful. The rooms are very quiet and comfortable. The Inn is located 10min by walk from the port, away from the agitation so you can relax properly :) thanks
Cozy lovely place in jungles of Ilha Grande. Close to the main area, to all cafe and shops, but still hidden in a green bushes, where you can enjoy of birds singing and selva whispering.

I really liked the atmosphere in the common area of the hostel. Gabi is a good host who tries to bring people together. She is also a great cook and we had nice self cooked dinners here. The kitchen is pretty well equipped.
The owner is also a lovely woman who stopps by and liked to chat.
If you know spanish or a little portugues then you can talk to the hosts. They don't really know english here.
