Staying with Igor and Gohar was like visiting your favorite family members: the hospitality was unmatched! We were met with coffee and sweets, offered multiple meals and snacks throughout our stay, including local fruits and vegetables, home-baked pastries and home-made wine and vodka, etc. The hosts also provide great recommendations of what to visit in the area.
The B&B was kept very clean, our concerns about sharing a bathroom went away quickly. There is a parking space on the premises. 10/10 would recommend.

This is the perfect place to experience true Armenian culture and hospitality. The food was amazing and the hosts even better. All the amenities were clean and comfortable. I truly felt rested after my stay. If you want to fall in love with the Armenian countryside and its people, I cannot think of a better place than Aspet B&B.

Alex's b&b is a charming little apartment in their family home, independent and downstairs to their living area. Spotlessly clean, although there are no cooking facilities the kitchen has an electric jug and utensils for eating. The breakfast was delicious. There is also a washing machine, great for a clean up after hiking. Plenty of hot water. Quiet neighborhood.. No barking dogs!The family are kind and welcoming hosts.

I reached the guesthouse only to realise it was full, actually accommodating refugees from Artsakh Karabakh during the Azerbaijan incursion. The host was unable to speak in English but had a big heart to make necessary arrangement for me by putting me up at their home instead. The hostess and the elderly mum are the sweetest Armenians! I was offered a huge room with thick blankets, homemade dinner and a filling breakfast, even the milk and cheese come fresh from a cow which lives beneath their living quarter. Their guesthouse, and home, is not far from the cemetery which affords amazing veiw of Shinuhayr and the surrounding. Their location is also great for day hikes to the abandoned villages Khot (aka Machu Picchu of Armenia), Shinuhayr, and Halidzor. I would come stay with them again if I am back in Shinuhayr.

The room was private and quiet. The shared kitchen was nice to use and had a lovely view. The hosts made us feel very welcome.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Super hospitable and friendly people, parking place in the closed yard. Located in 5 minutes drive from Tatev air tramway. This place is perect if you are keen on communication with locals, the owner is quite famous on YouTube (search for Booze Traveler Armenia). If you'd prefer to stay on your own, here might be a little more attention, than you can expect. Anyway, my mother, whom I had been travelling with, was excited and the local booze is great!
