Very cosy with excellent facilities and masses of storage. The double room was particularly luxurious with lovely decor and a beautiful en-suite (big, fluffy towels!). I'm not sure how it's done but we hardly knew there was load shedding, which made it less stressful than a previous vist to Cape Town. The location, tucked away behind the main house (along with the other bungalow) felt very private and safe, and being next to the lagoon was stunning.
We stayed 6 nights, and we had everything we needed right there. The view is to die for and there are multiple seating options outdoors to enjoy it.
There is wifi which catered for all our other entertainment needs.
Tucked away in the nest of houses on the Island, the house is in walking distance to the highway, but far enough to be quiet. The modern amenities and comfy bedding made it a very enjoyable stay. I had access to the swimming pool, which was an added bonus. A chocolate on arrival was a lovely touch. Coffee and milk in the fridge was very thoughtful.
Peaceful, relaxing venue with everything you need and close proximity to Sedgefield Market, etc. Very pet friendly. Host responds quickly. The swimming pool and surrounds were immaculately clean and relaxing.
The spacious garden allowed us to sit under this huge tree for snacks or meals. Very peaceful with interesting plants around. The little covered personal courtyard gave opportunity to sit outside even in rain. The venue was in a peaceful area - no night noises to disturb our rest. The hosts were really helpful and friendly. They had DVDs available for entertainment when rain prevented an outing. And excellent value for money, given all that
Very quiet and such a comfortable room. Close to the lagoon where you can have a lovely walk or braai. The birdlife was phenomenal and the birdcalls were fabulous. Loved the swimming pool. Guests were all friendly too. Breakfast was lovely. I can highly recommend staying at this retreat. You will enjoy every minute.
