I like how the stuff assess us to our room and how she tour us to every corner of the lodge. The room we're clean as well as the toilet, washroom, kitchen, dining and we really loved the entertainment area which gave us things to do like playing billiards.
The rooms were clean and well prepared, with a heater, warm sheets and duvets, and soft pillow. We were able to cook using the pots and pans and microwave in the kitchen, just rewash them and the cutlery/plates before using as they can be a little dirty. The lounge was spacious and tidy as well, wifi was very easy to connect to and was reliable in the lounge. There is also a table tennis table and paddles for entertainment!
You can't beat the location for doing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, while also having easy access to Taupo and Whakapapa if you have a car. Amazing stargazing just outside the camp if you have clear nights. The room was comfortable and clean - what you would expect from a holiday park setting - and the shared kitchen is functional if a bit small for the number of people staying.
Such a great little find, a cute holiday park really close to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing hike.
Greg the owner, did everything possible to make sure our stay was comfortable by providing so much information about the area, and particularly the hike and what to expect. He also drove the shuttle bus to the start of the hike which was great and once again explained to the group everything necessary. We felt he really made a huge difference to our visit as we felt someone was there looking after us.
Nice facilities, location and specially staff service. Excellent for family holiday even though awful weather during our trip. Still want to come back for holiday on Easter. Thanks
Room (quad bunkroom) was clean and comfortable, heater worked well. Shared bathroom was clean. There is a pool table in the lounge for entertainment. Location is close to ski fields. Good value for money. I would stay here again.
tidy spacious room, good kitchen, tidy place, seating, tv, warm room etc.
beds are nice, shower is good and super comfy. entertainment with netflix and disney plus is a big plus for our kids. WIFI is good.
