You can walk to Cathedral Cove from Hahei Beach Resort, follow the beach and connect to the Cathedral Cove walkway (the walk takes about 1 hour each way).

It is a massive holiday park with a lot of people. Some will like it, some will prefer a quiet one. It has a lot of amenities and facilities, especially of you bring your kids.
Friendly and helpful staff. Fun little cabins with fridge in a lovely setting.
The swimming pool was warm. Close to the beach. Delicious takeaway food. Kitchen facilities.
Room is nice, and provide simple kitchen facility where you can prepare for simple meal.
Holiday Park itself does have small convinient shop, can stock up for simple meal or.snacks.

They deluxe chalets are very nice and have a nice view. It's only a short walk from the holiday park to the Hot Water Beach. The chalet, the kitchen and the bathroom were very clean. I felt safe when walking to the kitchen / toilet after the sunset, although traveling on my own. I would definitely stay here again.
This holiday park is very close to the hot water beach so when I arrived I could rent a spade immediately and go to the beach to enjoy the hot water.
