Beautiful location, close to Gisborne city but a world away in atmosphere! We stayed in a Podlife cabin (tiny house), surprisingly warm and cosy with modern decor & touches of luxury. Perfect place for a relaxing winter getaway
Lovely view from apartment of the sea and boats coming into the harbour, good kitchen and comfy beds and beautiful bathroom!
Nice swimming pool for the grandkids and lots of other activities like tennis court, volleyball, etc
Wonderful apartment with all the facilities you need to make your stay easy and comfortable. Loved that the apartment has a full kitchen to make own meals and two separate bedrooms. The washing machine and dryer were a real bonus too. Great views of the Port which provided great entertainment for our toddler. Most of all really appreciated the welcoming, friendly, accommodating and understanding Hosts who were great to deal with and very family friendly.
Fantastic stay here - highly recommend. Although it was just me and my husband, this facility would be fantastic for family holiday. Great location, beach front, plenty of space, and comfortable, clean beds.
The space and facilities available were easy and accessible. I was very close to where I needed to get my daughter to for her competition. Staff were all amazing. Keep doing a great job wāhine mā! Greeted with a smile and acknowledged in te reo when I greeted in te reo Māori followed by great service from the cleaning crew with a warm welcoming farewell smile when informed of something minor was broken. The closeness of everything. The villas close proximity to the restaurant and bar. The lush grass areas and the beautiful shade trees. The live entertainment was an exceptional bonus. The live music Sam and Luishaan provided just added more to such a pleasurable experience. I loved the way I was greeted and treated by staff. I would return to Matawhero winery only on very special occasion because it is such a special place to be and because the cost of overnight stays is affordable for my family and I for only a few and far between visits.
I especially liked the days staying around camp and there being heaps of things to do, eg. The swimming pool, playground, jumping pillow and basketball court. The kids were entertained for hours! Awesome location too. Having the beach right across the road made it nice and easy as a solo mum of two to go down and enjoy with the kids. All staff members I encountered were all so lovely and accommodating to our needs. We will definitely be back!
Family rooms are ideal for small children. Perfect for a family vacation with small children. Pool was nice and clean, brilliant. Parking was good right outside door step
The facilities that they offer is amazing for families! Our family are long time enjoyers of the holiday camp, with the inception of the pool, it has made it 100 times better!
Every time we travel to Gisborne to visit family, we always stay at the holiday park. We love it so much and look forward to coming again soon! Love love love!!!!
