The location was nice and we did get to see the northern lights right from the patio.
This family-owned, eastern Iceland property is located on Route 95, about 11 mi from the town of Egilsstadir. It offers cottage and guest room accommodations with views of Sandfell Mountain.

Spacious room and bathroom, plenty of hot water and access to small kitchen. However, there is no microwave, which could have been great. I don't know why it is designed that you can not bring your car to the cottage as there is space and it will be very helpful for the guests, especially in inclement weather.
Mind it that Google takes you much longer route, adding 30 to 40 minutes so I asked the owner/caretaker to let the future guests know where to make the turn, and might want to put some signs.
