Almost didn't book due to negative reviews but it was perfectly positioned halfway in a 2 hr drive so we took the plunge and my goodness am I glad we did! The bungalow is absolutely beautiful with an indoor fireplace and oh what a view and the sound of nature to wake up to. The photos on booking.com do not at all do this place justice. Yes it's glory days are behind it and it's a little run down but definitely not as bad as the reviews suggest. The road also was not bad at all, it's 2 narrow concrete tracks rather than a road, so I think the majority of these concerning reviews may have been drivers that possibly weren't very experienced and found it hard to keep tyres on the tracks, but we had no trouble with it at all.

Surrounded by nature. A place to relax and just be. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and will do everything to make you feel at home. The family bungalow is spacious and has a nice place to sit and look over the little rice field. Our kids loved the swing and hot chocolate. We loved to experience the local food during breakfast and dinner.
Wonderful location with glorious view over rice terraces. Hospitality offered by Gede was outstanding as all logistics for trekking and transport by motor cycle and car were so quickly and easily arranged. Breakfasts and dinners served were delicious and nutrious. Local people I met on my walks around the village were so welcoming. Bungalow's decor including the bathroom was great, so clean and so comfortable.

The swimming pool was perfect for a dip after trekking the rice paddies. But no need to even go to Jatiluweh as the rice paddies at the hotel are so beautiful

The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the mountain water swimming pool is cold but glorious and huge. The reception/dining area was a pleasant space. If you just want to chill, this is an extremely relaxing spot. Our semi-detached bungalow bedroom was a good size but the soundproofing was poor so if going again we would book a detached (but even more expensive!) bungalow.
Living in the middle of beuatiful nature with a view on ricefields. Dewi as a host was the best of Bali so far. She speaks English fluently and coocked us delicious food while sharing her vision on live and her bungalows.
Very friendly and helpful personnel, spacious rooms, very good and healthy food. Absolutely beautiful garden and natural swimming pool.
