We booked this for a little relaxing getaway to counteract the January blues. The lodge was beautiful with everything you could ask for and the park seemed well kept and quiet. The hot tub was amazing and really made the stay. For the money we paid this was well worth it.

No booking on arrival the camp ground found us one for Friday we had to wait till Saturday to see if they could found us one for Sat and Sunday night,
The camp manager worked really hard to find ux place someone cancelled so in the end we were OK but we still had to park and move to different caravan for 2 nights. The camp was lovely offered free meal but booking .com never rep.lied to my letter

The building and surrounding park are just beautiful - everything feels really grand. Also really enjoyed the swimming pool (lovely big ceiling) and the various rooms where you can sit, have a tea, chat or just read a book.
The bungalow has been tastefully renovated and every detail has been considered. The property was spacious and the beds were comfortable. There was a lot of other space for sitting out in peaceful surroundings and we even had a visit from a roe deer one evening. We would definitely make a return visit one day.
The food in the restaurant was good. The grounds are pretty and the location is great for getting out around Northumberland. The swimming pool was nice too. It was nice that they put chocolates in the room and a plate saying happy birthday.
Everything. Perfect location and easy walk to the beach and Embelton for shop and pubs. Swimming pool was perfect and spotlessly clean and hot tub was perfect temperature for chilly February days. Facilities in the cottage were new, spotless and everything required was supplied. Generous welcome pack of bread, butter, milk and orange juice was greatly appreciated.
The whole place was exceptional. From the grounds, to the hottub and the caravan - we felt it was really well thought out and had everything you could need in it.
Great communication from the owner and access was simple.
Just a note that there is no entertainment complex on site but there are a vast array of places to see, eat and shop close by. Great location to explore the Northumberland Close from or just catch up with friends.
We are not campers but trying this out for the first time as the kids were desperate to try camping. Beds were comfy, tent felt secure even when it was raining. Farm itself is lovely.
This was a fantastic house for a family vacation, close to everything in Alnwick and convenient for groceries, etc. Everything we needed was in the house, great decor, great showers, plenty of towels and linens, etc. We didn't have a car but it was only 5-7 minutes walk from the bus that took us to Alnmouth, Amble, Warkworth, etc. Just a 10 minute walk to the centre of town or the castle. The owner was helpful and accommodating, all in all highly recommend the Old Sweet Shop for anyone vacationing in Northumberland!
lovely log cabin, is literally the size of a bungalow and is bigger than it looks in the pictures! the owners were nice but didn’t see them as we were busy at a wedding! would definitely recommend staying here if visiting the area.
