Host picked us up at train station and gave us a tour of the town before checking us into a well appointed small cottage. He and his son, Vern, offered suggestions, Alaska information and stories through our stay. He was also helpful in obtaining a common medical device.

The holiday home features family rooms. We booked the cabin just couple of days prior to arrival to Alaska and had little expectations (all other places were fully booked and quite expensive). So, we were pleasantly surprised by the comfort the lodge has provided. I mean, we had all we needed - good beds, clean house, TV, WiFi, small kitchen and clean bathroom. The owner was very attentive and gave advices on some local activities. Me and my family spent wonderful couple of days in Seward and Spruce Goose lodge added to it greatly.
