Located in São Mateus in the Pico island region, Aldeia Dos Caldeirões has a patio. The accommodation features a year-round outdoor pool, a spa bath and a hot tub. Everything was superior, and I would highly recommend this cottage! Pico Island is amazing, of course, and the cottage captures the essence of the land and the people. Made from lava rocks and stunning local wood, whoever designed the cottages here had vision. The owner was marvelous and kept in touch with us as we approached our time in Pico. Also, a thankful shout-out to the amazing women who run the local grocery store - you’ll find it as it’s the only one - as they made calls on our behalf and loaded us up with delicious bread, fruit, and cheese made nearby. 10 stars out of five for it all!!

There is also a nice terrace where you can enjoy the breakfast or your diner :) We found also some tomatoes in the garden, it was nice to have them for breakfast :) Location is 20 min from Sao Roque and 30 min from Lajes by car. There are also some nice restaurants in the town. The owner was really nice, we enjoyed the stay here.

Incredibly comfortably furnished and with so many little details that you can look forward to a new little something every day. In addition, the apartment is not only beautifully decorated but also equipped with everything you need. We felt very comfortable. Our hostess was very easy to contact via booking and always responded quickly. The apartment is located in a quiet area. We recommend renting a car to explore the island.
