Overlooking the village of Velas, Casa Da Encosta is located in the São Jorge island in the Azores archipelago. It offers accommodation for 4 persons and panoramic views of the Pico across the sea. lovely place, all you need at hand, amazing view on Velas, and wonderful smile and hospitality of Gisela and family. best to have a (good) car or good physique to walk up from Velas :) but definitely worth while!

The house is situated in a beautiful spot between the mountain and the ocean. surrounded by vineyards and figs. Great views to the ocean and nature. The house is large, comfortable, clean, and fully equipped. It is mostly recommended.

Really helpful host. Helped with good taxi driver for our group of 6. Good beds - also the sleeping couch. Worked fine for 2 adults too. Even washed clothes and could keep our luggage before our flight. Would recommend this for anyone and definitely come back. Pretty full equipped Appartments and beautiful view over Pico.

Beautiful views and well appointed to relax after exploring the island. The home is located in one of the Fajas, about 10 minutes from the main road. Paula was very helpful during our stay. The views from the balcony area were amazing!

We stayed there for only two nights as a family. The flat was really cozy and had a great design, so we felt very comfortable. The view out of the flat was stunning. We had a great view over the ocean and at the Pico. In front of the flat was a nice terrace with a big table, where it was great to sit. We arrived earlier then check in and stayed longer then check out, but it was no problem to leave our baggage there. The owner Lucy was really friendly and thoughtful. We even got fresh grapes from her one evening.

Faja do Ouvidor is a beautiful place, with Simao Dias almost as a private swimmingpool nearby (with the right timing). House is very complete, with equiped kitchen, a nice BBQ area, great porch to enjoy the evenings. Views to the sea. And last but not least: great hosts! Rúben and Bruna are Sao Jorge natives and give you a lot of useful information about the island. Really nice to meet them!

The owner is an amazing host but most of all an amazing person. Very welcoming and providing everything we could need to have the best time at this amazing place. The house is just perfect with an incredible detailed cleaning. Also the garden with the amazing Pico view where we could have great times taking breakfast and dinner. Thank you very much for everything and we hope to come back very soon.
