جبل شمس Jabal Shams sunset House is set in Dār Sawdāʼ. This holiday home has a private pool, a garden and free private parking. The location was great and the place was very clean. The host was very welcoming. The host made sure that he was aware of when we would arrive so that he could meet us and ensure that all our questions were answered. We were welcomed with qahwa, fresh fruits, biscuits and dates which was very nice. We picked the place because we wanted to take our dog with us, so it was great that the place was pet friendly!

Upon reaching the location, we messaged him, and within minutes, he arrived with the keys and graciously opened the facility for us. The property is well-maintained considering its location, connecting guests to nature. However, be aware that being nestled in the mountains means encountering insects and flies, which cannot be entirely avoided. The host was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Given the remoteness of the location with few nearby restaurants or shops, he kindly assisted us in procuring dinner, especially appreciated after a long drive and fasting. Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised by the warmth of the local community. The Eid prayer, held near the property, was followed by generous hospitality from the locals, who even provided breakfast afterward.
