My husband and I had an exceptional two night stay at Nisala. The villa was gorgeous and had everything we needed, including a well stocked minibar. The staff were fantastic - kind, super helpful, and communicative. A highlight was the in room couples massage that were arranged on our first day - highly recommended. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Adjacent to Unawatuna Beach, Sergent House is set in a boutique villa showcasing colonial architecture and originating in the 1800's. Very nice and unique small hotel, quiet and comfortable place for family vacation, excellent and hospitable staff, they can organize absolutely everything by your request! The hotel has own small beach that is very conveniently after overcrowded Unawatuna.

Rooms were nice and clean and we loved the breakfast. It was easy locate on google maps and staff was very friendly. Just 30 mins walk to the beach and location in a very nice location. We loved this hotel and will definitely come back if we are visiting Sri Lanka again.

The house is retracted 50m from the street so it is very calm, yet extremely close to the bus stop (bus to center every 6min, or 25min walking). The room is big and the AC works well. The double bed is quite comfy. The owners are kind and helpful, they even offered to do my laundry for free (!), gifted me ice cream and tea. Excellent value for money in a calm spot close to the city with welcoming and helpful owners
