Matsuda-san took the effort to pick us up from Toyama train station and even offered to send us back to the train station on our day of departure to Tokyo. The size of the house in Japan is second to none, and there are lots of space for a family up to 8 even. The house is fully equipped with ALL the essentials, including not one but two washing machines with built in dryer as well. The bath tub inside the bathroom is probably one of the biggest I have had in Japan thus far. I will highly recommended this beautiful house if you are planning to visit Toyama.

The house is spacious and bright with large windows facing the green outdoors. There were a few cozy corners allowing use to sit down chat and enjoy the view. The kitchen and bathroom is well equipped with the necessities. The host is attentive and kind, making sure we are warm and comfortable. He was also helpful in answering our questions and available whenever we need to find him. Other than that, he gave us much privacy. Would not hesitate to choose Makoland again if we ever go back to Toyama. The warmth of the house made my stay in Toyama enjoyable.

Fully equipped rooms and kitchen. Also a good variety of free tea, coffee and sweets. A plenty of places to meditate or read. Very good and pleasant host.

Guest House Inujima / Vacation STAY 3516 is located in Toyama, 13 km from Toyama Family Park, 19 km from Mirage Land, as well as 19 km from Uozu Aquarium. A clean, spacious two-storied house and comfy stay. The tablewares were gorgeous that was my dream tableware and cabinets. All necessities are in place. The foot massager and private parking lot just outside the house were bonuses. The kitchen was well equipped, just missing a chopping knife. The host was nice and helpful. The laundry machine and other home facilities worked perfectly. The place is so clean. Everything feels like cleaned right before we arrived. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. We had three sweet comfy nights.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Etchu Yatsuo Base OYATSU is a holiday home situated in a historic building in Toyama, 20 km from Toyama Station. Do not miss out on the opportunity to stay at this amazing property. The owner Sayuri and her family are incredible and kind hosts. The town itself is beautiful to walk around to and to shop for souvenirs, and our entire stay (2 nights) were a wonderful opportunity to authentically experience a slice of traditional Japanese culture away from busy tourist destinations. We used the house as our base to explore Kanazawa and Shirakawa-Go by car - there is free parking nearby the property and we found the surrounding area beautiful. Sayuri recommended us many restaurants and places to visit based on our preferences including an amazing Yakitori restaurant about a 10min drive away. When we arrived we were very lucky to have our accommodation upgraded due to the property being free and it was DIVINE! It is finished to a incredibly high standard and we loved the beautiful tatami mat rooms, the wonderful hinoki bath to experience a private onsen overlooking the lovely courtyard garden. We slept so well and felt so looked after. It feels like we hit the jackpot finding this place and experiencing it. By the end of the trip Sayuri felt like a friend and we can’t wait to return in the future. We were pleasantly surprised to recieve a choice of welcome drink and have a traditional breakfast included. After we checked out Sayuri invited us to have coffee in the main building which is also incredibly beautiful and stylish, it’s like stepping back in time. She also owns a clothing store next door, repurposing old and beautiful kimono into a range of clothing and accessories of which we bought a few items and will treasure them for years to come.
