Yoko was extremely kind in waiting for us for the check-in as we had a long drive down. They did up the house really warmly and nicely, it felt like home. Really enjoyed watching them work at the studio too. They have super lovely glass pieces and we did a workshop with them too. Meeting them was one of the best things in our trip :)

Tabaki itself is a gem, steeped in history with beautiful, well-preserved architecture. Every room tells a story, and the traditional design combined with modern amenities provided a comfortable and unique stay. Breakfast was another highlight – delicious and thoughtfully prepared, offering a variety of local specialties that gave us a true taste of Echizen. Overall, our stay at Tabaki was exceptional. The host's hospitality, the amazing house, and the fantastic breakfast all contributed to an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Echizen!

Located in Obama, just a 3-minute walk from Shiratori Beach, Obama Machiya Stay provides accommodation with a flat-screen TV. The accommodation is air conditioned. Beautifully decorated old style apartment. A real opportunity to stay in an old fashion house. Very comfortable. Perfectly outfitted.They have several locations in the city. Google maps shows only one house. Have to pick up keys some miles from Obama station--have to take taxi. But I had not read the instructions carefully. The instructions were clear and everything was fine. Taxi driver to key pick up was exceptionally helpful.
