The Aurora Igloos were so awesome and unique! We liked looking at the sky while lying in bed. We had 3 heaters and they kept us warm. As a family of 4, we had to get 2 igloos. Coffee machine in the shared bathroom was very good!

Two separate bedrooms was a big plus.

We stayed in Cabin 5B. The cabin was well equipped for our two night stay and was very clean. The bed was really comfortable and the cabin was warm and cosy. The cabins are in a rural area which was very nice as it was quite peaceful, the golden circle and nearby attractions are easily accessible by car. We were really lucky to see the northern lights on both the nights we stayed. Would definitely recommend staying in the cabins and we will be back.

Perfect place: remote, calm and most important in Iceland - warm :D The hosts are friendly and helpful and the house has everything you need. I highly recommend this place to stay!

Set in Hella and only 22 km from Thjofafoss, Afternoon Cottages offers accommodation with river views, free WiFi and free private parking. The property features garden views. I was looking forward to my stay here and I wasnt disappointed. The cottage was clean, spacious and well equipped. Incredible views of a waterfall and Hekla. The host was very responsive to messages and very helpful. If we are back in the area we will definitely stay again
