Located in Sandgerði village, these basic wooden cottages are a 10-minute drive away from Keflavik Airport. Free WiFi is available. I like the whole concept - little lovely private houses as a room to stay. Shared kitchen and bathrooms, all very well equipped and clean. Comfortable to use. The place is located near airport, which was the main reason we chose this place. It was clear that for others it was the same. At 8.30 in the morning all the cars had left already and we had a nice private breakfast :) They had a hot pool as well but not in use. Maybe it's used in a summertime? Would have loved to have a nice morning dip there but they have a collaboration with local pool for their guests instead. We didn't have the extra time to go there, would have enjoyed the quick dip in the premises.

Complete with a terrace, Hunters little house is set in Gardur, 30 km from Blue Lagoon and 47 km from Keilir Golf Club. Unit was comfortable, host very responsive. A nice, unique place to stay AWAY from Reykjavik.
