The Farm Cottage is set in Athy, 21 km from Kildare Town Heritage Centre, 21 km from Carlow Courthouse, and 21 km from Carlow Town Hall. The property was superb. Very cosy and had all the mod con’s needed. Dolores and John were extremely friendly and helpful and even had scones for us on arrival and came over to meet us. The icing on the cake was their beautiful dogs who are so friendly. It was top class from start to finish and couldn’t recommend highly enough. John and Maura, Leitrim.

We were very pleased to stay in it. The landlady is amazing person , who is trying to make being in this house unforgettable.

Located in Leixlip in the Kildare County region, Batty Langley Lodge has a patio and river views. I fell in love with this property online. Staying there was magical. It's beautiful and superbly furnished with sympathetic furniture and ornaments. I particularly liked the windows, the pictures, books, and the embroidered fire screen. The amazing windows look out onto parkland and the river. It was so nice to actually be in the parkland of an historic home. I did a guided tour of Castletown house which I recommend. Walks along the river and through park were beautiful. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Check in and out was very easy. The log fire - I hadn't intended to use - but it certainly was lovely to light each evening. I felt very happy and safe here and hope to return next year. There were shops, cafes etc within a reasonable walking distance, the property is at the edge of park and behind it is a lane. So very quiet and secluded in the evenings. I didn't go out in the evening- the property is somewhere you actually want to spend time in. No TV or internet. Nice bathroom - proper bath. A great experience.
