Amazing stay. Very nice clean room, brilliant value! Also booked 3 day trek with them which was incredible, saw lots of orangutan’s, but the whole team made it so special. Guides Helmy (Mowgli) and Dean and chef Anto (great food) were so welcoming, friendly, polite, very funny and amazing guides. Made the trip brilliant. Dedycool the host was super!

Magpie homestay & jungle trekking is situated in Bukit Lawang. The property has garden and inner courtyard views. There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. The area looks like a botanical garden or park: many trees, flowers, plants, a small lake. I had at my disposal a house with a private cooking area, a shower/toilet, a large room and a bedroom. The kitchen had the necessary utensils and a gas stove. The rooms have a wardrobe, a table, a coffee table, a sofa and two beds. There was a lot of space for me. There was also a table outside the house in front of the entrance. The hosts are very friendly and helped with many of my questions regarding the organization of my trip. While I lived there I ordered breakfast, lunch, tea, coffee there. In my opinion, this is a great place to stay, one of the best places I have ever lived while traveling.

This is a beautiful property and without doubt the most luxurious and well maintained property in the area. It is an escape from the busy market town, somewhere to just relax after a day exploring. We were delighted to find such a large well appointed and luxurious villa with great staff. The owner was able to accommodate a request for breakfast and organise dinners for us also (at extra cost) which was great. This property very much has an international feel to it in the way they look after you. We had not planned to spend so much time in the villa but it was so good we spend more time in than out.
