It felt like a family. We all sat together every night and talked about our days, our dives, and future plans. I made lifelong friendships. The dive center is everything I wanted, small groups, lots of dive sites.

Efenli Arnes homestay is set in Yennanas Besir. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. The homestay is idyllic and secluded. We were right on the water, the porch is nicely decorated, there's a table and chairs so in the evenings we could easily play cards. In the day, if we weren't diving with Corepen (they come and collect you and drop you off), we would snorkel on the coral reef in front of the homestay which is fantastic! We saw a turtle, ray, squid, clown fish, a shark etc. All three meals are included and Lina's cooking is amazing. We would eat fresh fish everyday. Portion size is very generous so you won't be going hungry. Lina and Arnes are so kind and gentle hosts we couldn't recommend this more. Their English is very limited so just make sure you download a translator app if you don't have data (there's no WiFi). The amenities are basic and you get electricity from around 6:30pm-10:30pm but for us, this only added to its charm. When we passed other homestays, we were always grateful for picking Efenli.

Located in Sorong, Baronda Guest House features a shared lounge. This holiday home provides free private parking, private check-in and check-out and free WiFi. This place is within 10 mins drive to airport, convenient! Host is super friendly and the room is spacious. The environment is cozy, quiet and laid back. We also get to rent a bike here to go around the town. Breakfast are made based on ur preferred timing and the host's wife makes different dishes every day. The price is also very affordable. We are grateful for the hospitality and will come back to the same place if we revisit Sorong again!

The Owner, Paulus, and his Family made us feel at home from the start. The food was great and diverse. Paulus organized daytrips to go snorkeling and see many different sites. The house reef was great for snorkeling and just breathtaking. Paulus even organized the drop off the the next homestay for us.
