Situated less than 1 km from Ruka Ski Centre, these cottages are just 100 metres from Lake Talvijärvi. Each provides a fully-equipped kitchen, a private sauna and a wood-burning fireplace. I gave 10 because it wasn't possible to give a higher score. This place is amazing, the chalet was one of cosiest places I've been to. Warm, spotless clean, equipped with any possible kitchen tool. The sauna and the fireplace completed the whole experience. We decided to have dinner at home instead of going out to enjoy the comfort and warmth. We woke up every day surrounded by snow and silence, it was like a fairytale! Position is perfect, very close to Ruka village but away from the bustle, next to a quiet lake (frozen at the moment of my visit) and surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Marita has been quick and efficient in her communication, she explained everything we needed to know when we arrived, and was available at any time. You can tell it's a family owned business! I wish I could stay more!

Exactly what a group of 4 friends needed. We used the sauna and the fireplace. The host provided easy to use instructions for all the appliances.

Situated 43 km from Riisitunturi National Park, Ruka Twin 3 bedroom Villa with Jacuzzi by Rukalodges offers accommodation with a patio, as well as barbecue facilities. The location is amazing. The facilities in the property are first class. Response from the host was immediate and always helpful. The hottub was the icing on the cake. We also really enjoyed the fact there were some items left in the property for our use. (Salt, sugar coffee etc). So many rentals we stay in put these items in the rubbish bun when they are full. We found lots of these condiments in the presses and were able to cook easily with the provided utensils.

The villa is spectacular: the view is relaxing and beautiful. The location is perfect: just 5 min drive from the skiing slopes but it’s in its own peace. The kitchen is well-equipped and it was nice to eat in the middle of relaxing surroundings. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi as well. We had some difficulties with the electricity but the host couple helped us to fix the situation right away which was lovely.
