Could have stayed there for longer period easily. We walked to the centrum, and if Talvijärvi is frozen that would be even easier. Highly recommended place.

Nice cabin by the lake which has all facilities of a modern house. We stayed here for 2 nights and had a great time. The cottage itself is very spacious and nicely decorated, and the host was very friendly. This cabin is part of a complex that consists of multiple cabins, all by the lake, but the cabins are distanced from eachother, so it is very peaceful. The cabin is situated about 25 min drive from the city Kusamo where you can find a big shopping center. In this area there are numerous beautiful lakes and hikes. Would highly reccomend this place for a nice and peaceful vacation.

Situated less than 1 km from Ruka Ski Centre, these cottages are just 100 metres from Lake Talvijärvi. Each provides a fully-equipped kitchen, a private sauna and a wood-burning fireplace. The nearest ski lift is 450 metres away. I gave 10 because it wasn't possible to give a higher score. This place is amazing, the chalet was one of cosiest places I've been to. Warm, spotless clean, equipped with any possible kitchen tool. The sauna and the fireplace completed the whole experience. We decided to have dinner at home instead of going out to enjoy the comfort and warmth. We woke up every day surrounded by snow and silence, it was like a fairytale! Position is perfect, very close to Ruka village but away from the bustle, next to a quiet lake (frozen at the moment of my visit) and surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Marita has been quick and efficient in her communication, she explained everything we needed to know when we arrived, and was available at any time. You can tell it's a family owned business! I wish I could stay more!
