It made us feel so taken care of, from preparing dinner to making sure we had everything we needed. The garden is a private paradise, with a sparkling pool, sun loungers, and even a sauna and fitness area. It was so relaxing, we hardly wanted to leave. But when we did, the Wachau region didn’t disappoint—there’s so much to explore, from hiking trails and castles to amazing local restaurants. Plus, it’s just an hour’s drive from Vienna, so it’s easy to get to, but feels like a total escape. If you’re looking for the perfect hideaway with top-notch service and a great atmosphere, it is the perfect spot.

Featuring a garden and views of river, Schloss Hollenburg Aparte Apartments is a villa situated in a historic building in Krems an der Donau, 13 km from Herzogenburg Monastery. Very spacious apartment, a beautiful atmosphere transporting us back to another era but without losing modern comforts. The location is quiet, but 10 minutes away by car from Krems. The host was very helpful and discreet, even arranging for us dinner in a nearby village in a local winery, which would have been impossible to discover without his help. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
