Amazing location . Wonderful cottage, just what you would want if you truly are looking for a rustic, unplugged experience. This world is not long for a time where the only sound you can hear is the clicking of crickets and the soft chug of the Tugela river. Jess was a super host. She made sure that we were well looked after and gave us plenty of advice on activities in the area. She also pointed out the best places to go for food and walks. The accommodation has an exceptionally beautiful view with plenty to see and do nearby. We definitely want to go back!

It was self catering with well appointed kitchen. Loved that all the rooms had en suite bathrooms. Lovely views of the Berg.Location is good as close to various activities . We were in area for a wedding nearby. Cottage very clean and comfortable and hosts accommodating, friendly and helpful.
They've catered for everything you could possibly need. There's even an info book that gives you ideas on activities, restaurants, and places to visit in the area. Very clean and isolated to just switch off and relax.
A magnificent and peaceful setting with incredible staff and hosts. The room was very clean and comfortable and the meals were excellent.
The highlight of the stay was the half-day "Battlefields" trip to Spioen Kop and Mount Alice provided by our host/guide, Raymond Herron. Incredible!
For bird enthusiasts, the bird life is prolific.
All in all Spioen Kop Lodge is highly recommended and we look forward to a return trip.
