We were very grateful to have accommodation. We found the unit well-stocked with whatever we needed, and the instructions very useful. We would have enjoyed the convenience of being so close to the lagoon etc, but used it purely as a place to sleep before moving on.

The Rondi was awesome! Sweetly made up & super comfortable. The location was fun and we got to meet the family and their animals too! Lovely sustainable place ~ would recommend staying on days that Heritage bakery is open so you can fully enjoy! There’s a wonderful walk down to Wilderness beach, it was so raw and beautiful! Just a tip ~ if you’re into Glamping they do have 2 sites and they look epic!

The location is right next to the beach, everything was very clean. The pressure in the shower is amazing. The kitchen is well equipped. Communication with the host was excellent. We had a slight inconvenience as I was in recovery, and it was very cold inside the cabin, but Erick was on the ball and was very understanding and accommodating about our situation and resolved it within hours. Check-in was easy with the lock system and sensor beans around the cabin. Would visit again with a bigger group in summer for more peace of mind.
I have been to many places in South Africa, but I have never been so satisfied with any place as Ria's Rest.
Extremely quiet cottage, very very clean, extremely friendly owner and her family...
Oh, and there are two super cute puppies.
I booked four nights but ended up having to add an extra night because everything was so perfect. If I didn't have to go back to work, I would have stayed another week.
If I go to Knysna or Sedgefield again, I will definitely stay at Ria's Rest again

Very beautiful newly renovated farm-style accommodation. We were greeted by chickens in the morning. Some homemade welcome fresh baked bread. The host paid attention to small details and the cottage feels homely.

The view from the cottage is sensational - the sky, the coast, the animals so close by in the reserve. It is very special place. There is loads of space, the cottage is very clean and comfortable, and it is such a bonus to have a little private pool. The staff were warm and welcoming.
