The whole property smelled very clean; which could be considered good but a little over the top! (heavily scented) Excellent breakfast selection but get there early as can be a wait for the waffle maker later in the morning :-)
Very friendly people, very clean and fresh hotel, comfortable beds, extensive and healthy breakfast (even by American standards), shuttle service and free parking with plenty of spaces.
I'm familiar with this hotel as i already stayed at one in Orlando and just like this one here in Des Plaines i had a great experience at both locations. I love staying at any avid hotel because i like the fun experience of it and on both occasions, i had great customer service and the location was great as well. Usually, the rooms are very clean with a comfy bed and a very relaxing walk-in shower and the food is also good especially if you want to eat something quick before you start your day.
Enjoyed the breakfast. It included fruit, pre-made omelettes (I appreciated the vegetarian option-it was tasty and the only ssavory item in the menu for me), cereal, oatmeal packages, boiled eggs, tea (although only caffeinated options, sadly for me), milk (even almond milk!), bread, bagels, and etc. The staff working during breakfast time was very pleasant and nice. The premises looked very clean, and there were employees cleaning the inside--and the outside (parking lot).
