There was a large, well-stocked kitchen with lots of counter space. We loved the big island/table, that could seat lots of people and was excellent for playing games!

Estuary Cottage, hotel in Astoria, Oregon

Set in Seaside and only less than 1 km from Seaside Beach, Estuary Cottage offers accommodation with river views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Estuary Cottage is a great place to stay. The views of the estuary and the ocean beyond are stunning. We came in and saw a bald eagle on a piece of driftwood next to the estuary right away. There are two rooms upstairs and one downstairs. I chose the downstairs room due to needing to avoid stairs. All had bathrooms nearby. Every room had a TV which worked out well. The living room was comfortable for lounging. The glassed in sun porch was lovely and sunny. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with cooking things.

As a skandinavian, I liked self chek in. Room was quite small but tidy and nicely decorated. It didn't hurt at all. The bathroom feels spacious, clean and modern. The shared lounge and kitchen were very clean and convenient. Even though there was no breakfast, the kitchen had a variety of equipment, dishes and utensils, as well as coffee, tea and porridge needs. Good location.

There was no personnel. That is why we could judge personnel. All was very clean. The lodging is interesting ( entering by a code and no personnel). Everything was available: kitchen, frige, lounge, etc. So very convenient.

The hotel was in a great location, easily walkable to lots of restaurants and bars and the waterfront. It was very clean but the rooms were quite small. We happened to be there during a heat wave so it got a little toasty but we had extra fans which made the heat tolerable. Probably my own ignorance but I hadn't realized that there was no staff at the hotel. Luckily we didn't need anything but it did feel a bit odd and impersonal, a little cold.
